This image was really iconic to me in terms of visual research. It's what comes up mostly when looking for a visual representation of focus. Defined as focusing on something specific within a body of information in this case.
I felt an abstract expression of 'focus' and what I felt it looked like would be appropriate. I looked mainly at type based poster designs for visual research. Exploring how they effectively use abstraction and shapes to cause other elements of potential focus; but use colour theory, composition to produce an information hierarchy. Making one element within each design clearly the focus.
